I don't know what is bothering you, but I guess I can help...
Hey you,
First of all, it is okayyyy. it is okay to feel this way.
I am so happy that no matter what we keep talking to each other. We share our ups and downs. So, when yesterday you asked me, "what should I do in this situation?" I started thinking.
Life's graph itself is a roller coaster ride. And you tell me... will it be any fun if any roller coaster ride goes around in a straight line? Then that ride is dead. A straight line denotes death and not life. It is life and one of the traits of life is that it is never so simple.
I know you have a lot on your plate right now. You have to upgrade your life and if not now... then when? When you are in your mid 30s, you might feel that it is already too late. You have to buy and you have to sell and you have to bargain and you have to negotiate... every fucking time.
Sometimes people are a joke and sometimes what you are doing is a joke and sometimes it is nothing at all.
But most of the time you feel that you... yourself is a big joke that no one gets.
I don't want to bombard you with life lessons. Neither I want to throw on your face a list of all positive thinking agenda. And I am also not telling you to stop being negative.
Take a deep breath. Hold on. release. Repeat.
Now, tell me... which of these life challenges that you are facing are in your control and which are out of your control. Yesterday, I was stressing out thinking what if recession hits real bad and it impact my job. Then I thought, 'is it really in my control?' No, absolutely not. Somedays back I got intuitive and underwent a body checkup post a muscle pain. In this pain instead of thinking, I took action and I am glad that I acted upon it.
So let's do a small activity. Make a list of all the things that are boiling your blood right now. Ensure this list includes everything that is bothering you physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, paranormally, hehe. Next, take two different papers and on one paper write things you have control over, and on another paper write things which are out of your control.
Next, shred the first paper to small pieces using your hands and then flush them or toss them into a dustbin. Now, let's come to the first list. These are the things that you have some control over.
Break down this list further by marking things on which you can take immediate action and you know what action to take and take that first step, even if it is a baby steps. Keep check on the progress of these action items and if possible do the needful follow ups.
Things on this list on which you can't act immediately, you can mark them as 'need help to decide' and you can actually consult someone who you think can give you some direction.
If there are still some pointers on this list, mark them as 'revisit' and give yourself some break before marking them as 'take action' or 'take help'.
Okay... hmmmm... I won't blabber anymore, but don't forget that I am your well-wisher. I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirit. And I also hope that you enjoy this roller coaster ride called life. On this note let me conclude by remembering this beautiful quote.
"If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.” ― Albert Einstein
Your well-wisher,
Purple <3
